You know what’s kind of beautiful?

In French, you don’t really say “I miss you.” You say “tu me manques,” which is closer to “you are missing from me.”

I love that. “You are missing from me.” You are a part of me, you are essential to my being. You are like a limb, or an organ, or blood. I cannot function without you.

You inspire me every single day. Sometimes I am in awe just by the fact that you’ve rolled out of bed, because I know how hard it can be. You’ve shown me that through hard work, literally anything is possible. You are the perfect example of someone who has never had things easy, so you do everything you possibly can to be your absolute best, and it pays off. Maybe it isn’t everything you expect or want, but you have to remember you’re human, and you can’t expect perfection forever. One thing I can tell you is that people around you see how hard you’re working. They see how badly you want to do well. They see how, despite all the stress and everything else you feel crashing down on you, you come out on top no matter what, and that’s whether or not you choose to see it.

YOU ARE AMAZING. you inspire me. don’t ever give up.
